![]() ![]() How come our Mongoose is facing off with their Scorpion? How come I have two idle teammates, three more walking into walls, and some guy sniping from the corner of the map (missing every shot) as the enemy team walks off with our flag? And why did the game decide to spawn me in their base during an objective mode? Now the team is split up and it's going to take the next 45 seconds for kills to hash out and normalize things again. They'd like to think that if they call for their team to push at the right moments, procure a few choice weapons, and get a satisfactory amount of kills, they can control those territories or capture that flag- that would happen in a sane game, right?īut once they look around at the battlefield, they'll notice something isn't quite right here. This is frustrating to most players, because they want to believe that their actions will pay off and influence the match. I'm glad people are waking up to this, since it's one of the primary factors that makes BTB a randomized, almost rogue-lite experience. If it's an issue that doesn't exist in Ranked Arena/HCS (I admittedly don't really play the former, and can't play in the later) then I'm clearly speaking from a place of ignorance. That is my complaint on the game's balancing, and I believe it is something that is weird given 343's apparent emphasis on esports and HCS for Halo Infinite. I have said that weapon spawns have the same issue as vehicles in regard to uneven spawning, including on 4v4 Arena maps four times now. You asked me again to elaborate as to what was balanced poorly (again ignoring my comment on weapon spawns being uneven). I then reiterated I specified weapon spawns. Esports don't use vehicles and are Arena (4v4, small maps) oriented." (which isn't even something I originally argued). ![]() You then overlooked the weapon spawn comment altogether claiming "Esports have nothing to do with BTB. I said in my original comment that weapon spawns have the same uneven spawning issue as vehicles and noted that uneven spawning as being weird given 343's choice to emphasize HCS with Infinite. I dont see the purpose in further dividing english into dialects, ive been to china and its not ideal having a different dialect every province → More replies I get where you are coming from, but im not sold on it yet. Chickens dont return into their eggs, frogs dont return to being tadpoles, humans shouldnt turn back to speaking 7000 ultimately incompatible languages. In propagating its use you are actively working against this so called language evolution. ![]() This is all relevant because whether you will admit it or not most all slang of the last 10 years has been heavily influenced by ebonics. Not a big win for us humans, i think we can all agree. This consolidation paved the way for economic and scientific globalization, a big win for us humans, yeah? Ebonics (or AAVE if you prefer) originates from white slavers purposefully keeping their slaves uneducated. Humankind has spent 3000 years consolidating language and culture. Educated people adopting improper grammar made popular by uneducated people is a net negative for society. Originating from the bay area doesnt mean white people made it, even if it did my point stands. ![]()
